Luxsin X8: Headphone DAC amplifier and preamp
The Luxsin X8 is a high-performance headphone DAC amplifier conceived as a true reference tool both for personal listening and for advanced high-fidelity systems, since it can also operate as a stereo preamp connected to a power amplifier. Its design combines state-of-the-art digital engineering with an extremely refined analogue architecture, delivering precise, powerful and highly customisable sound.
At the heart of the X8 lies an impressive DAC architecture based on eight Cirrus Logic CS43198 chips arranged in a true dual-mono design, with four DACs per channel, completely independent in power supply and signal path. This topology reduces crosstalk and noise to extraordinarily low levels, achieving a stable soundstage, outstanding dynamic range and micro-detailed reproduction even with highly demanding headphones.
Luxsin’s patented HP-EQ technology enables hardware-level EQ calibration, aligning the headphone frequency response with curves such as Harman or other advanced profiles. Thanks to a database of more than 2,500 headphone models, the X8 tailors the sound with surgical precision, creating multiple sonic personalities from a single pair of headphones.
The advanced Digital Audio Core developed by Luxsin integrates a dual-core HiFi-5 DSP together with ARM STAR architecture, providing huge real-time processing capability. This allows for AI-assisted parametric EQ and future expansions via firmware updates, ensuring a long service life and constant evolution of the product.
The independent linear power supply with adjustable analogue voltage guarantees an absolutely black background and exemplary electrical stability, completely separating digital and analogue circuits. The automatic impedance detection system sets the optimal gain without intervening in the audio path, preserving maximum sonic purity.
The Luxsin X8 is rounded off with a premium exterior design featuring a CNC-machined aluminium chassis, ergonomically angled 4-inch colour touchscreen and a complete control ecosystem via mobile app, web browser or optional IR remote, making it a true reference solution for demanding audiophiles and professional environments.
