Its arm tube has been developed with an intelligent mass redistribution to minimize resonance points, while the hand-adjusted, high-precision bearings are intended to achieve near friction-free movement. In practice, this helps extract more information from the groove, with a cleaner, more stable, more detailed read.
Rega Nd9 cartridge fitted as standard
The Planar 6 RS Edition comes with the Rega Nd9 Reference MM factory-installed—an advanced moving-magnet cartridge designed to take full advantage of the platform. The Nd9 uses a nude fine-line diamond bonded to a boron cantilever, a combination intended to maximize detail retrieval and improve tracking precision.
