With DTS Play-Fi® technology, music can be streamed over your wireless network in high resolution format and can easily be expanded to a multi-room system if required. You can stream from any source on your wireless network, including smartphones, tablets, or PCs, as well as a NAS drive.

The sound of science.

On the outside, the 6000A looks a lot like the 8300A with its rotary controls and large central OLED display. Unlike its more expensive analog-only brother, it features high-quality D / A conversion, allowing you to connect digital sources directly without an external DAC. It provides four digital inputs, three line-level analog inputs, one input for a turntable, wireless connectivity via Bluetooth and a dedicated headphone amplifier, in addition to its ability to drive speakers.

Digital circuits.

A great deal of effort has been made to ensure that the 6000A's digital circuitry offers the level of quality that can be expected from a high-performance stand-alone DAC. As always, Audiolab has turned to the ES9018 Sabre32 family of reference chips to perform the D / A conversion, using ESS Technology's 32-bit HyperStream architecture and time-domain jitter eliminator to deliver ultra noise level. low and high dynamic range.

No company knows more about how to get the most out of this technically excellent, but challenging DAC technology than Audiolab. If the circuitry surrounding the ES9018 is not standard enough, the resulting sound may seem a bit cold and harsh; treat it well, though, and the level of musical expression this chip extracts from the digital signal is captivating. Audiolab's original and universally acclaimed M-DAC was one of the first home audio components to incorporate an ES9018 chip in 2011, and the company has been perfecting its implementation ever since.

Analog circuits.

The 6000A Class AB discrete power amplifier delivers 50W per channel into eight ohms, with a maximum current delivery of 9A into difficult loads. The output stage of the discrete power amplification circuits uses a CFB (Complementary Feedback) topology, which ensures superior linearity and excellent thermal stability, as the idle current is kept independent of the temperature of the output transistors .

A 200VA toroidal transformer, followed by 4x15000uF reserve capacity (60000uF total), helps the amp maintain firm control of the music while allowing excellent dynamic range.

The preamp section is kept as simple as possible to maintain signal purity, with line input signals being fed to a precision analog volume stage. The latter covers the range from -80dB to + 8dB in steps of 2dB and 1dB (the resolution of the step increases with the position of the volume). Much effort has gone into the physical arrangement of the 6000A's circuitry, protecting the sensitive section of the preamplifier from noise interference. This, along with the use of independent low-noise power supplies for critical stages, helps deliver performance that rivals significantly more expensive analog amps, even before the 6000A's impressive digital circuitry is taken into account.

Turntable and headphones.

In recognition of the recent vinyl renaissance, Audiolab has included a phono stage for moving magnet phono cartridges - a high-quality, low-noise, JFET-based circuit with accurate RIAA equalization.

Similarly, more and more people are using headphones to listen to music, which is why Audiolab has incorporated a dedicated headphone amplifier with current feedback circuits. Its gain bandwidth and high spin speed ensure a dynamic, detailed and attractive performance with all types of headphones - plus boxes checked for this integrated amplifier.
