The X-Power TT is a linear external power supply designed to take the performance of Musical Fidelity turntables to a higher level. Its goal is straightforward: deliver power that is quieter, more stable and more generous than a standard supply, reducing the noise floor and helping music gain dynamics, focus and definition.
To achieve this, it uses a high-performance isolation transformer with copper-foil shielding, extremely precise rectification, and large filtering capacitance. It also includes a soft-start system to limit unwanted inrush current spikes—helping prevent them from contaminating the delicate analogue signal chain of a turntable. Everything is housed in a single-piece extruded aluminium chassis, adding further shielding against electromagnetic interference.
