Bookshelf or monitor speakers are often placed on feet or on top of furniture.
They are recommended speakers for intimate listening and/or for small spaces. Its biggest advantage is its small size and that it can be used in rooms where loud bass cabinets cause problems. They can be passive, active or wireless speakers.
