Digital technology has been thoroughly investigated and continues to rule, but needless to say, analog records are now experiencing what we would call the Renaissance in audio.
The ATH-3 is a step-up transformer for MC moving coil capsules designed to be compact and easy to handle. Theoretically, to increase the signal level per transformer. This has an advantage in terms of noise components, especially with the large influx of today's low impedance MC capsules.
The newly developed Hi-μcore is loaded into the transformer to raise the 1:40 ratio (32dB gain)
To polish the tonal performance, the transformer receptacle is made of pure copper, a thick aluminum front panel and a monocoque chassis are employed to improve signal linearity and musical dynamics.
The boast of the ATH-3 is that its high signal boost ratio is not only suitable for tube preamps, but also solid state ones.
Intrinsic musical, lively and dynamic characteristics are thoroughly transmitted and reproduced through the ATH-3.
The Air Tight ATH-3 has been entirely hand-built in Japan.
