After the Debut Carbon EVO revolutionized the Debut series in 2020, the Debut PRO raises the bar even further. We have not only designed a new turntable, but also a completely new capsule. Now, for the 30th anniversary, we go back to our origins.

The Debut PRO brings an entirely new design to the Pro-Ject turntables. The audiophile turntable convinces in every respect - not just visually, but also, and more importantly, in terms of sound.

Precision CNC milled parts are optically perfectly coordinated and lead Debut PRO to its unprecedented modern, simple and elegant design. The nickel finish of all these aluminum components results in a hard and resistant surface. This process allows us to produce very high quality and sustainable components and avoid plastics and similar materials that continue to age over time and, more importantly, would also degrade sound quality.

The toner bearing is a completely new design. Precisely CNC-made from a single block of aluminum, you can see all the stages of production above. The last step is to put a nickel finish on it. This will increase the stiffness of the bearing, ensuring free, fluid movement of the toner and accurate tracking without material degradation in appearance or function.

Deep drive.

The electronically regulated synchronous motor drives the chuck and guarantees the most precise and stable speeds. Switch between them easily with the toggle switch. With the supplied round 78 rpm strap you can also listen to your shellac records.

A new platter - a deeper plate.

The new Debut PRO turntable is a first for any Pro-Ject turntable. It features a notch for the record label and together with our Record Puck PRO (available separately) the weight of the record will press it firmly onto the platter. The die-cast aluminum platter is reworked and precision balanced in an additional step to obtain a platter that rotates evenly. It is antimagnetic, allowing MC cartridges to function properly. Delve into the broad path of improvement that the Debut PRO offers.

The heavy aluminum antimagnetic platter has a ring made of TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) inside that helps dampen all resonances and minimizes wow and flutter. Our Record Puck PRO, available separately, provides an additional level of cushioning and stability, making it the perfect complement to the Debut PRO.

HYBRID TONER.

The new Debut PRO features a one-piece carbon and aluminum sandwich tonearm. The carbon layer provides the toner with a high degree of rigidity, while the inner aluminum tube is responsible for damping the toner. This makes the toner perfect for upgrading with high-end MC cartridges.

ADJUSTMENT OF AZIMUTE AND VTA.

The new toner base design allows you to adjust both azimuth and vertical tracking angle (VTA). The toner height can be adjusted continuously

loosening the two set screws. These settings give you the option of adapting the toner to changes in height allowing the use of different turntable mats or other cartridges to always achieve the best sound quality. Tuning and experimenting with the VTA and Azimuth is crucial to extracting every last drop of performance from your cartridges.
