Equipped with state-of-the-art digital and analog technology and constructive refinements such as surface discrete component (SMD) technology, the MaiA features a preamplifier, power amplifier, dedicated headphone amplifier, conversion section D / A (DAC) and compatible MM / MC phono circuitry. Delivers 60 continuous watts per channel over 4 ohms which, thanks to the monophonic dual topology of power amplifier circuits, offer equal parts definition and spaciousness. At the same time, the care taken in the selection of the components contributes to the sound a sonority comparable to that of the designs based on vacuum valves. As for the D / A conversion section, it is based on two of the well-known TI chips 1796 - 24-bit / 192 kHz resolution - mounted in an elaborate differential configuration. The MaiA DS also includes high quality asynchronous USB circuitry and is compatible with the aptX Bluetooth wireless audio transmission system. Another key aspect of the new Box Design electronics is the possibility of built-in wireless control - on the device itself - by means of several infrared emitters (which allows you to bypass the Wi-Fi connection). On the other hand, being the control part of all pre-programmed Box Design components, the MaiA DS offers the user the possibility to easily and reliably configure equipment formed by a wide range of models of the brand. In the field of connectivity, there are 3 analog and 3 digital inputs, as well as a variable level output for the connection of an active subwoofer.
