From 28 March, Apple will launch a new App dedicated solely to classical music. A hand-picked collection of classical works from different periods and styles, performed by renowned orchestras, soloists and conductors from around the world. Navigation in Apple Music Classical will be easy and intuitive, allowing us to explore and discover classical music efficiently. Search by category, composer, musical period, genre or instrument, allowing you to customise your listening experience according to your preferences. In addition, Apple Music Classical offers a wide variety of expertly curated playlists, including classical music selections for different moods, special occasions or activities, such as classical music for relaxation, study, work or exercise.

Enjoy exceptional sound quality

Classical music is known for its richness and musical complexity, so sound quality is crucial to fully appreciate the beauty of classical compositions. 

Apple promises that content will be played in up to 192 kHz/24-bit Hi-Res Lossless. In addition, much of it will support spatial audio. The experience will be complemented by illustrations and high-resolution portraits of many of the famous composers.

Apple Music Classical will be available on 28 March. From that date, Apple Music subscribers (individual, family, student or Apple One) will be able to download the app and use it at no additional cost.
