Founded by brothers Alan and Brian O’Rourke in a small Essex workshop, the company continues to blend traditional design with modern engineering, crafting products that are as visually appealing as they are acoustically impressive.

Natural Sound, Impeccable Design
At the heart of the MR1 Mk3 lies carefully engineered electronics. It features a 2 × 25 W Class D amplifier derived from the acclaimed R410 model, delivering warm, dynamic sound that fills the room. Its custom-built 2-way speaker configuration includes a 20 mm silk dome tweeter and an 85 mm mid/bass driver with treated natural fiber cone, both developed in-house by Ruark.
An optimized internal volume of 2 liters and a precisely tuned crossover at 2,500 Hz ensure a seamless transition between frequencies, achieving a natural tonal balance from 50 Hz to 22 kHz.
Modern Connectivity, Classic Charm
While preserving its analog roots, the MR1 Mk3 meets the demands of modern users with versatile connectivity. Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX HD, AAC, SBC, BLE, and A2DP allows for high-resolution wireless streaming from smartphones, tablets, and computers. Physical inputs include:
Phono MM RCA input for turntables.
Combined analog/optical input (Toslink, PCM up to 24-bit / 192 kHz).
USB-C audio port (24-bit / 96 kHz, UAC 1.0).
Mono RCA subwoofer output.

Available in natural walnut veneer or charcoal lacquer finishes with a slate-grey woven fabric grille, the MR1 Mk3 exudes understated sophistication. Its compact form (202 × 135 × 165 mm) and lightweight build (2.2 kg per unit) make it ideal for bookshelves, desks, or media setups.
The system includes a remote control, power adapter, 3-meter interconnect cable, and a quick start guide for simple, intuitive setup.
