Two years ago, we introduced our first high-end products, including the X-A1200 mono amplifier, the X-Cd1000 tube CD player and the X-i1000 integrated amplifier.
Now, to celebrate 20 years of the Advance Acoustic brand, we are proud to introduce our new Smart Series, which incorporates the Advance Paris brand. This series includes the AX1 integrated amplifier, the BX1 stereo power amplifier, the DX1 DAC/Preamp and the PX1 preamplifier. The SX1 streamer, the BX2 mono power amplifier and the MX1 CD drive will be added soon.
The Smart series, with its elegant design, is at the forefront in technical and acoustic terms. It has been developed to meet the demands of discerning audiophiles who are not willing to compromise.
The PX1 preamplifier is the highlight of this series. Designed around two mono preamplifiers built into the same unit, the PX1 can be considered a true dual mono. It features two standard EI transformers, shielded with mu-metal foil, an expensive but highly efficient solution.
The PX1 is the control centre of your hi-fi system. In addition to prioritising sound quality, we have ensured that the preamplifier can handle all current sources: analogue, dematerialised and physical digital.
It offers nine analogue inputs, including a balanced input and a customisable dual-level MM or MC phono input. The capacitance parameters of the phono cartridge are adjustable. It also offers three optical, one coaxial, one USB B (asynchronous X-mos) and one USB A input.
The digital signal conversion is done by the renowned Wolfson WM8740 converter. In addition, it features direct signal processing (direct path) to maintain the original signal quality.
The PX1's ease of use is enhanced by its single rotary key, which provides access to all menu options such as input selection, volume adjustment, tone adjustments, loudness and APD (auto power off after 30 minutes of inactivity).
In terms of outputs, the PX1 offers a balanced XLR, an unbalanced Cinch, a Rec Out and a Hi Pass Pre Out, as well as two subwoofer outputs.
Finally, for headphone enthusiasts, the PX1 includes switches underneath the unit to independently adjust the gain and output impedance for 2 headphones.
