Our goal when designing the LCDi4 was to get the best sound possible in an in-ear version. We took our winning design, the LCD-4, as a starting point and scaled it up to create the ultimate headset.
Engineered to provide the user with a truly wide and accurate soundstage, superior transient response and flat bass response from 900 to 5000 Hz, the single speaker LCDi4 model ensures consistency of sound unmatched by other multi-speaker designs. . With an impedance of about 35 ohms, it should be used with a good headphone amp. The LCDi4 will be available in limited quantities upon request.
Exclusive Planar Magnetic technology
Using the same extra-thin diaphragm used in the LCD4 and all of our proprietary technologies like Fluxor magnets and Uniforce voice coil technology, the LCDi4 ushers in a new benchmark for in-ear headphone realism. Distortion (THD) is less than 0.1% even at high volumes, an amazing achievement for an in-ear design. Weighing 12g per side, this headphone comes with a new magnesium enclosure and OCC silver plated copper braided cable with Kevlar strands for extra strength.
Designed and manufactured in our California factory
Each unit is hand built in our California facility, just for you. The LCDi4's sophisticated speaker design features a very thin film that offers exceptional frequency response and excellent transient behavior. This thin film is manufactured using a specialized vacuum deposition process that slowly builds up the malleable metallic layer. Each unit is individually mounted and paired with a +/- 1dB margin.
Big sound comes in small packages
To bring the sound of our award-winning LCD collection to an in-ear version, we've worked closely with our strategic partner Designworks, a BMW Group company. Every element of the LCDi4 has been designed to bring the world-renowned Audeze sound to a global market in a smaller, lighter package.
Special attention is paid to the production of each of our LCDi4 headphones, starting with the use of the best and most comfortable materials that minimize reflections, to the precision workmanship of our facilities in California. The result is a headset that looks, feels and, above all, sounds like no other. When you hear an LCDi4, you'll hear the passion, quality and care we put into all of our headphones.
