Audio Research CD6 SE. CD Player & DAC.

An updated version of the CD6, the CD6 SE is an effective combination of a very high-performance CD player and DAC, designed for those who wish to take the possibilities of the most popular digital audio formats to their ultimate consequences. It includes four digital inputs capable of handling 24-bit / 192 kHz signals, while the transport mechanics remain what Audio Research believes is the best-in-class component on the world market: the Philips Pro2. Regarding its internal architecture, the CD6 benefits from some of the most notable developments incorporated into the Reference CD9, such as the use of four 24-bit D / A converters operating in mono with two master sync clocks. (one for the base frequency of 44.1 kHz and one for the base frequency of 48 kHz), in order to obtain the highest possible performance. In addition, sample rate conversion is available for all inputs and two digital filtering options, while the analog output section uses FET transistor-based DC coupled circuitry, combined with a multi-regulated power supply. Finally, let us highlight that the CD6 SE is completed with two digital outputs, one AES / EBU and one coaxial S / PDIF with BNC connector.
