Our family of Heritage Series woods is growing with Norwegian Pine used in the new GH3 and GH4. The GH3 is the first entry level pair to be released in the Heritage series, using thinner cuts of wood but still housing the Grado signature drivers.
These limited editions are the first Grado headphones to use the warm, textured tonal capabilities of Norwegian pine. We have searched for a specific species of this wood for the shells, searching for the correct patterns and desired musical character for the GH3. A combination of quarter cut sawing and a special curing process, without which the construction of these pairs would not have been possible, helps bring them to life.
To build an entry-level Heritage Series headset for the first time, we went back and drew inspiration from our original Prestige Series nearly thirty years ago. The GH3 uses a low-profile shell to create an exceptional value in performance and size.
