Natural accessory of the PM-14S1 SE stereo amplifier, the SA-14S1 Special Edition is an exquisite and advanced digital source that is the perfect platform to enjoy a reference sound and, in the case of optical disc reading mechanics Marantz, to provide exceptional sound quality with CD's and SACD's. In this regard, it should be noted that the DAC mode incorporated in the SA-14S1 SE is almost identical in terms of functionality to that of the revolutionary and sensational network music player NA-11S1, awarded by the European organization EISA for the exceptional engineering and his sound. It includes a coaxial digital input and an optical port as well as a USB-B jack to facilitate direct connection to a PC operating in asynchronous mode to support not only 24-bit / 192 kHz signals but also DSD signals (2 ' 8 MHz and 5'6 MHz) of the SACD format. In order to maximize versatility and performance, you even have a USB port on the front panel to play back encoded recordings in formats such as MP3, WAV and AAC, as well as, of course, audio signals from an iPod / IPhone.
