Oyaide P-004e: Male Schuko connector

We designed the M1/F1 as our flagship model, without compromise. The result is a powerful, dynamic and highly sophisticated sound. The M1/F1 represents a major step forward in cutting-edge technology that inherited and improved on the advanced technologies of our P/C series.

Based on the technology of M1/F1, we have succeeded in creating P-004/C-004 as its cost-performance by integrating the features of M1/F1 and P/C series.

Like other P/C-series audio connectors, the core of the P-004/C-004 is material selection, coating technology, and usability.

Inheriting the main factor of M1/F1, the contacts of P-004/C-004 are made of beryllium copper which ensures mechanical integrity and high conductivity. The coating is also the same as the M1/F1, which is a combination of platinum and palladium that was selected after repeated listening tests.

The body is made of PBT with 30% glass fiber which has excellent machinability and provides superior electrical insulation. And the outer shell of the P/C series is made of PC (polycarbonate) for its rigidity and toughness. In addition, its "Black-Diamond" color of the P-004/C-004 outer cover represents its emotional and exciting sound.

Contacts:

In addition to the Premium Series, M1/F1, we use Beryllium Copper for its superior conductivity and excellent mechanical characteristics.

The contacts of P-004/C-004 are heat treated to ensure electromechanical integrity. The 1.0mm thick and 6.0mm wide contacts provide maximum contact area, have over 8kg of holding power and reduce vibration at the point of contact without loss of signal transmission.

Gold plated:

The manufacturing process starts from the base coating. The material that was die cut as one piece is hand polished piece by piece after mechanized barrel polishing.

The coating on the P-004/C-004 is a combination of platinum and palladium that were selected as a result of repeated listening tests. The inner platinum layer is 0.5 microns thick and the outer palladium layer is 0.3 microns thick.

GF+PBT body

30% glass filled PBT has excellent machinability and provides superior electrical insulation. The highly rigid body of the P-004/C-004 effectively attenuates high speed vibrations. All screws, which were originally designed for the P/C series, are made of high-rigidity stainless steel, which is a non-magnetic substance. In addition, the cord cannot be separated from the plug with less than 30kg of force, an important safety feature.

Stainless steel screws:

The P/C series screws are all made of high-rigidity stainless steel, so the screw head will not collapse even if too much force is applied. Also, because it is a non-magnetic material, it helps to achieve a high S/N ratio without becoming magnetized at its connection part.

External cover:

The outer shell of the P/C series is made of PC (polycarbonate) for its rigidity and toughness. Helps attenuate tiny vibrations in quick response and reduces distortion due to its superior mechanical strength.
