It is a very high-performance, modular architecture stereophonic preamplifier, combining fully analog signal processing circuitry with a high-level DAC section. The starting point of the PRE35 Prisma is a 100% analog and balanced circuitry that has been designed to strictly preserve the signal from any source. For its part, the DAC section, embodied in Primare's DM35 digital signal processing module, is a sophisticated piece of engineering compatible with files encoded in PCM up to 32 bits / 768 kHz and DSD up to DSD256 (sampling frequency of 11 ' 2 MHz) in which state-of-the-art components are used accompanied by discrete audiophile-grade components and is completed with very generous connectivity.
The PRIMARE Pre 35 DAC is designed for use with both analog and digital content. Offers 2 pairs of XLR and 3 pairs of RCA inputs. On the digital side, it provides 4 optical, 2 coaxial, and a USB port for Macs and PCs. The new integrated DAC processes digital audio data in LPCM format up to 24-bit and 768 kHz and in DSD format up to DSD256.
All current 20 and 30 series primary amplifiers are modular in design, for example the Pre35 can easily be expanded for audio transmission by connecting a Prisma card.
The Pre-35 DAC has no mechanics, all switches and controls execute electronic commands. A highly effective internal design with extremely short signal paths, high-quality components and solid bolted joints ensures the proverbial high long-term stability of PRIMARE products.
