PROJECT 6Perspex SB
The clear acrylic plinth rests on three individually height-adjustable TPE-damped aluminum cones and carries the motor and secondary chassis. The sub-chassis, made of Corian, relies on three magnetic fields. A magnetic sub-frame suspension system prevents parasitic noise normally caused by conventional spring mechanism. A supplied bubble level allows easy adjustment of the sub-frame. An AC motor drive drives a silent running outer edge of the platter via a belt. It does incorporate an advanced DC motor driven control, which ensures perfect speed stability and electronic speed change.
The Resonance Optimized platter is a sandwich construction using a well balanced platter of medium density fibers and a flat 4mm thick vinyl ground layer and a bolt-on metal disc clamp. It runs on an inverted bearing with a stainless steel shaft bearing a ball bearing/ceramic plate. The higher end Arm Evolution 9cc headshell and armtube are formed from a single piece of carbon fiber. A conical armtube prevents foot wave reflections. Inverted arm bearing comprises four hardened stainless tips to ABEC 7 specification ball bearing. Supplied counterweights are suitable for capsules between 5 - 7.5g / 7 - 10g / 9 - 11g or 10 - 14g.
