A marvel of German mechanical engineering at the service of sound reproduction without compromise from vinyl records. It is the least that can be said about this turntable signed by the legendary Transrotor, a true heavyweight in the literal sense of the term thanks to the almost 40 kilos that add up to the opulent combination of elements that constitute it. The superlative character of the Massimo TMD is spoken loud and clear by the plate it incorporates, made of solid aluminum and which combines 80 mm thickness with 15 kilos of weight, a methacrylate mat and an elegant dedicated disc presser. On the other hand, the sophisticated and exclusive Transrotor Magnetic Bearing (TMD) decouples the transmission from the motor from possible vibrations generated by the belt drive system. For its part, the motor is mounted on a separate block which is supported by four adjustable feet, while a Transrotor exclusive Konstant FMD power supply ensures extremely accurate read speed. To all this we must add a spectacular flexibility that allows the Massimo TMD to use a maximum of four tonearms mounted on infinitely adjustable bases.
