The new FI-E48 NCF (R) Schuko connector features a new plating technique that offers sonic enhancements and a more durable finish. Also new to the series are newly designed cable clamps for a firm grip and resonance control.
This high-performance Schuko connector from Furutech features the Nano Crystal² (NCF) formula. This material is the cumulative result of Furutech's 30+ year effort to eliminate electrical and mechanical resonance from signal and power transmission in high performance audio and video applications.
Nano Crystal Formula² (NCF)
Incorporated into select Furutech products, NCF features a special crystalline material that has two "active" properties. First, it generates negative ions that eliminate static. Second, it converts heat energy into far infrared. Furutech combines this remarkable material with nano-sized ceramic particles and carbon powder for its additional 'piezoelectric effect' damping properties. The resulting Nano Crystal² formula is the ultimate electrical and mechanical damping material. Created by Furutech, found exclusively on Furutech products.
Furutech Floating Field Damping System
Magnetic floating field damping. Current flowing through a cable and its connector creates magnetic (and electrostatic) fields around it, building and collapsing 50 times per second on 220VAC electrical supply systems. This magnetic field induces the flow of current (electrical potential) in small parts like the screws that hold the connector housing together, which must be metal for a firm hold. The current flow in these small parts actually creates "floating" magnetic fields around them, and they interfere with the larger surrounding magnetic field of the cable/connector, causing noise and distortion.
The Furutech Floating Field Snubber solves the biggest problem you never realized you had by star grounding metal parts where floating magnetic fields are induced by current flow. All of the various metal parts of the connector are bonded together and shunt any generated electrical potential to ground. This significantly reduces noise by reducing distortion for stable, ultra-clean power transfer.
