Presentation and Design
The FiiO FA7s are the new in-ear headphones featuring 6 Balanced-Armature drivers and a third-generation industrial design. Featuring a high-purity monocrystalline cable and a robust stainless steel construction, they are an ideal choice for heavy-duty use.
Innovation in Sound Technology
Equipped with 6 BA drivers, the FiiO FA7s deliver impressive definition across all frequencies. Each set of drivers handles a specific frequency range, with their own sound chambers to minimise interference. The low and high frequency drivers are manufactured by Knowles, ensuring deep, controlled bass, along with crisp, detailed treble. The mid-frequency driver is a custom unit exclusive to FiiO, delivering rich vocals and a natural sound of great purity.
Three-Way Crossover
The FA7s features an expertly tuned three-way crossover that balances high, mid and low frequencies using the ‘2 + 2 + 2’ method. This allows for a more realistic and balanced sound, capable of reproducing every last detail and emotion of the music, just as the artists intended.
Stainless Steel Construction
The FiiO FA7s is manufactured from medical grade 316L stainless steel, high temperature processed and injection moulded to form its structure. The faceplate is machined on a five-axis CNC machine and the rear cavity is hand-polished to a shiny, mirror-like finish. In addition, the stainless steel undergoes a PVD electroplating coating for added rigidity.
Third Generation Industrial Design
Adopting FiiO's third-generation industrial design, the FA7s combine distinctive elements such as Y-shapes and 120° angles, creating a balanced sound and sleek design. Each earphone is made of stainless steel stretched with a bright blue steel mesh, offering an intricate, bold and soothing design.
High Purity Monocrystalline High-Purity Cable
The FA7s include a high purity silver plated monocrystalline wire cable, consisting of 8 strands of 19 wires each, totalling 152 wires. Each wire is individually insulated and stranded Litz style. The TPU outer sheath is environmentally friendly, resistant to yellowing and low temperature hardening.
MMCX Connectors and Connection Options
The FA7s cable is optimised for comfort and ease of use, with expanded angled MMCX connectors and coloured indicators for easy connection. The curve of the ear hook is based on scientific research for a comfortable fit. In addition, the FA7s features an interchangeable connector system with twist lock, offering 3.5mm, 2.5mm balanced and 4.4mm balanced connector options to suit a variety of music sources.
