Integrated in the reference range -RS- of the striking and effective Pro-Ject Design Box electronics, the Pre Box RS Digital is a very complete product that combines all the functions of the powerful DAC Box RS digital audio processor plus a circuitry of Preamplification with extremely linear response whose output section can operate, at the user's choice, to transistors configured in Class A or valves (triodes 6922). In addition to this, a very high performance headphone amplifier with adaptive output impedance is used to achieve perfect adaptation of all types of headphones, while an analogue input allows the user to connect even a turntable. As standard on all Box Design RS Series models, the Pre Box RS Digital uses a fully balanced architecture with both XLR and RCA input and output jacks. In addition, it is possible to select between two D / A conversion chips (PCM1792, 24 bits / 192 kHz and very musical; PCM5102, 32 bits / 384 kHz and more analytical). Finally, the presence of an I2S interface with output for separate master clock signal makes the Pre Box RS Digital the best possible complement for the exclusive CD Box RS transport mechanics by drastically minimizing the jitter rate.
