VM95 Series Microlinear Stereo Capsule

This VM95 series cartridge with a 2.2 x 0.12 mil Microlinear stylus can be used with half-inch anchor turntables. The capsule provides excellent channel separation and low distortion for impressive tonal quality. The rugged, low-resonance housing features threaded inserts that allow the cartridge to be mounted to the headstock with just two screws, without the need for nuts. And since the entire VM95 series shares the same body, the stylus can be replaced with any of the six interchangeable AT-VMN95 replacement styli.

The AT-VM95ML features a bare Microlinear diamond stylus that will allow you to double the life of your stylus. Linear contact stylus performance will minimize "inner groove distortion" and provide an extended frequency response, maximizing resolution in the mid and high frequencies of audio program material.

VM95 Series - Stylus Compatibility

Every diamond stylus in a capsule wears out after a period of work.

Around 500 hours for a conical stylus, 300 hours for an elliptical stylus, 1000 hours for a Microlinear stylus, and 800 hours for a Shibata stylus.

Our VM95 series dual moving magnet cartridges can be used virtually forever if the interchangeable stylus is replaced. It is no longer necessary to purchase a full capsule when the diamond tip has been worn down; you just have to purchase the right replacement stylus, but you can also enjoy the experience of upgrading your cartridge with a different stylus.

All six cartridge models that make up the VM95 series use the same electromagnetic motor body, therefore each of the six replacement styli is perfectly compatible.

AT-VM9E series compatibility with AT-XP series DJ cartridges

The XP-series electromagnetic body-motor is fully compatible with all VM95-series replacement styli and delivers a higher output voltage than the VM95-series cartridge. This improves compatibility with the phono inputs of professional DJ mixers.

The VM95 series' electromagnetic motor-body is also compatible with the three replacement styli on the AT-XP series DJ cartridges; in any case, the XP-series electromagnetic body-motor will deliver a higher output voltage than the VM95-series cartridge, in order to offer better compatibility with the phono inputs of professional DJ mixers.

Remember that the typical tracking force when using the XP series styli is three grams, instead of two grams for the VM95 series styli.
