The Hifiman HE-R9 features a special topology diaphragm with an applied nanoparticle coating, resulting in a more natural and detailed sound compared to conventional True Wireless headphones.
The inspiration behind this new diaphragm is derived from Dr. Fang Bian's doctoral thesis, which suggests that different nanomaterials have unique properties and by controlling the surface structure of the diaphragm, the acoustic performance can be influenced in unprecedented ways.
The outer design of the headband is lined with high-quality leather for a soft and elegant look, while the inside features high-grade viscoelastic foam to ensure a comfortable, springy fit. The headband skeleton, made of solid steel, provides a lightweight yet sturdy structure that conveys unrivalled detail and musicality.
The large, crimson-red earcups offer generous internal space that helps produce substantial volume and adequate ventilation for the diaphragm, allowing for maximum performance.
In terms of connectivity, the HE-R9's socket can accommodate both a double-sided unbalanced 3.5 mm cable and a single-sided balanced 3.5 mm cable (on the left socket). It should be noted that the single-sided 3.5 mm TRRS 3.5 mm cable is not included, so it is recommended that compatibility be confirmed before using third-party cables.
