The ZENEO ZX is the culmination of a project we launched almost two years ago: to deliver a truly wireless, hi-fi quality system that combines audiophile performance, ergonomics and versatility.

HEART OF THE SYSTEM: CLASS AB AMPLIFICATION

The ZENEO ZX system features four completely independent amplifiers whose function is to power each loudspeaker. The advantage of multi-amplification is that it allows customisation for each speaker type. The woofers will be powered by 70W RMS / 150W pulse class AB amplifiers and the tweeters by 20W RMS / 40W pulse class AB amplifiers.

Class AB is a combination of Class A and Class B which makes for exceptional musicality, it is the most commonly used class of amplification in hi-fi amplifiers for demanding audiophiles.

On the other hand, this type of amplifier requires a quality power supply and heatsinks, which makes it a rather expensive but unbeatable model in terms of price and performance. Expensive but unbeatable in terms of sound quality.

100% DIGITAL COMMUNICATION BETWEEN SPEAKERS

The entire audio signal from the master speaker is transmitted to the slave speaker via a 32-bit Tri-core processor. The synchronisation between the speakers is perfect thanks to the computing power of the processor.

DSP FILTERING

Its signal processing is comparable to that of high-end studio equipment. Most of the processing is done in 56-bit mode.

Full, double precision, resulting in very good low-level signal performance.

No low-pass filter on the woofer, but several cascaded plug-in filters provide linear phase filtering.

COMPLETE CONNECTION

The ZENEO ZX system is equipped with two analogue inputs: AUX1 configurable in PHONO mode and AUX2/Streamer, two digital inputs: one optical and one coaxial, as well as a USB B input allowing connection of a PC or MAC computer.

Analogue digital decoding is entrusted to a WOLFSON 24-bit/192 kHz DAC renowned for its musicality.

ACOUSTICALLY PURE

The ZENEO ZX system is technically accomplished and offers high-end electronics, both in amplification and signal processing, but what about the acoustics?

We are guided by the same requirements for cabinet design, loudspeakers and filtering. The enclosures are made in the middle because of their rigidity and manufacturing precision. Partitions and bracing prevent any vibration or interference. The internal volume of the enclosure has been calculated for optimum association with the loudspeakers. The port characteristics allow a perfect match with the loudspeakers and the volume of the cabinet.

The woofers are equipped with a surface-treated paper membrane reinforcement for a neutral and lively sound. The pure copper voice coils are wired in a caption holder. To avoid roughness and improve smoothness, the tweeters have impregnated fabric membranes and the voice coils are cooled in ferrofluid.

Multistream

We are evolving in an environment where dematerialised music, stored on diverse and varied mobile devices (computers, tablets, smartphones and other walkmans), is taking an increasingly important place in our daily lives. Networked music is not far behind with quality services such as Spotify, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon Music, Tidal or TuneIn offering more than 100,000 radio stations.

We offer two versions of the ZENEO ZX, an aptX HD Bluetooth version or a more complete version that also includes a WiFi network player that allows access to additional functions such as playback from a NAS (Network Hard Drive) and multi-room. It is worth noting that the WiFi version includes a second 24-bit/192kHz converter.
