The Expression ESL 13A is a refined acoustic screen that updates the Martin Logan hybrid speaker system concept. An unmistakable aesthetic, which connects with the celebrated designs formed by electrostatic and electrodynamic transducers of the legendary US firm, is the cover letter of a product whose interior houses substantial changes with respect to its predecessors. The first of these changes is found in what is undoubtedly the fundamental component in every MartinLogan hybrid acoustic box: the electrostatic panel. Vacuum glued in one of the elegant and exclusive AirFrame Blade frames and equipped with the MicroPerf stator technology of the brand, this advanced electrostatic panel is able to provide a sound scene of amplitude and transparency difficult to match by Conventional loudspeakers. To complete the set, the Expression ESL 13A incorporates a sophisticated self-powered subwoofer. This is a design that combines a non-resonant construction enclosure with two brand-powered PoweredForce Forward speakers, with a 254 mm diameter aluminum cone. The system is completed with two amplifiers - one for each transducer - in a 300 Watt continuous D Class (600 watts peak), executed with audiophile grade components. The genuinely High End component of the Expression ESL 13A is completed with exquisite care in manufacturing and finishes, highlighting the presence of high purity copper connection terminals signed by WBT and adjustable metal decoupling tips.
