WILSON AUDIO Alexx V. Absolute reference 3-way/5-speaker loudspeaker.

Endowed with the unmistakable portico aesthetic used for the first time in the aforementioned WAMM Master Chronosonic, the Alexx V is a prodigious speaker in each and every one of its constituent elements. An exceptionality that can be felt from the materials used in the different enclosures to the transducers and adjustment structures to optimize the response in phase, all in the context of an outstanding manufacturing quality. Perhaps the best way to understand the scope of the work carried out to fine-tune the Alexx V is by reviewing the most significant improvements that it incorporates with respect to its predecessor. The first of the aforementioned improvements is found in the combination of materials used, all of them exclusive to Wilson Audio, which makes the Alexx an extraordinarily neutral platform in mechano-acoustic terms and therefore ideal for converting all the energy that reaches the speakers into sound. Thus, both in the bass enclosure and in the upper modules and in the portico they are built in Material X, while Material S is hermetically coupled in each of the media enclosures to further "neutralize" its surface. To these materials is added the brand new Material V, used for the first time in the Chronosonic XVX and which in the Alexx V is placed in such a strategic location as the "interface" between the bass module and the portico to increase control of the vibrations. The second revolution provided by the Alexx V is found in the transducers, highlighting in the first place the layout of the tweeter and the two midrange speakers in Wilson Audio's proven MTM (Midrange-Tweeter-Midrange) geometry. Specifically, the tweeter is a next-generation version of Wilson Audio's exclusive Convergent Synergy Carbon (CSC), while the largest of the midrange drivers (177.8mm/7”) is the sophisticated Alnico QuadraMag, also exclusive to Wilson Audio. the American firm and originally developed for the Chronosonic XVX. The bass section features two hardened paper pulp cone transducers mounted in an enclosure equipped with one of Wilson Audio's reversible XLF ports for optimal listening room integration. the tweeter is a new generation version of Wilson Audio's exclusive Convergent Synergy Carbon (CSC), while the largest of the midrange drivers (177.8mm/7”) is the sophisticated Alnico QuadraMag, also exclusive to the American firm and originally developed for the Chronosonic XVX.
