The Chronosonic XVX is a no-compromise, 4-way, 7-speaker floorstander with more technological innovations than any other Wilson Audio speaker to date. The first of these innovations is a midrange speaker developed jointly by David Wilson – it was his last project – and engineer Vern Credile. Called QuadraMag, this sophisticated transducer uses Alnico magnets in a completely reimagined geometry, the result of a year of research and development, resulting in beautifully accurate reproduction of critical midrange combined with extreme dynamics and resolution. The second relevant technical innovation introduced in the Chronosonic XVX is embodied in the unusual configuration of the upper module,

The third major innovation incorporated into the Chronosonic XVX can be defined as a quantum leap in what has been Wilson Audio's philosophy until now: the in-house design and manufacture of the capacitors used in the crossover. The fourth noteworthy technological element of the Chronosonic XVX is a fully integrated lighting system whose task is to assist in the management of the complex mechanisms that make up the critical temporal alignment system of the modules that constitute it. Another of the most brilliant innovations of the new Wilson Audio: the variant of the Micrometer system originally developed for the WAMM Master Chronosonic.
