The Loke is an elegant and advanced DSP-driven active subwoofer that is the perfect complement to the Utah-based company's ultra-compact TuneTot monitor ecosystem. In developing the Loke, which is Wilson Audio's most compact product in its class to date, several critical parameters were taken into account in order to develop a component that was much more than just a bass extension of the TuneTot. Getting into the engineering details of the Loke, the first element considered by Wilson Audio's engineers was the cabinet construction, which is often undervalued by many manufacturers. Hence the choice of the US firm's extremely damped Material X for the exterior and a combination of that material and HDF (high-density chipboard) for the internal bracing structure, in order to achieve the most robust possible foundation for the transducer used. On the other hand, the Loke's internal amplifier has incorporated the most commonly used functions of Wilson Audio's renowned ActivXO subwoofer filter electronics.
