The Aura 3, the most compact floor-standing speaker in the Aura Series, presents itself as an elegant 3-way/4-speaker bass-reflex loudspeaker. Like its larger counterpart, this creation is designed to make the outstanding features that have brought renown to Wharfedale's reference range, especially the extraordinary Elysian, accessible to a broader audience.
This compact floor-standing speaker incorporates highly valued technical refinements, such as the Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter, midrange and bass drivers with a matrix structure cone, the innovative "perimeter" SLLP bass-reflex port, and an impeccably finished external construction. The AMT tweeter, or "Air Motion Transformer," distinguishes itself with its ability to move air uniquely using a generously sized and low-mass folded diaphragm, significantly contributing to improving definition and transient response.
The Aura 3 is completed with a cabinet constructed with panels formed by multiple layers of different woods, following the PROS ("Panel Resonance Optimisation System") scheme. This system prevents the transmission of internal vibrations to the speakers, preserving the integrity of the emitted sound and avoiding any undesired coloration.
