The Monitor Audio CSS230 is an ultra-slim in-ceiling speaker designed for installations in tight spaces, with just 50 mm mounting depth. Ideal for fitting into 2” stud walls or areas restricted by pipes and cabling, it combines a hybrid back-box design (sealed or open) with a radial driver array to ensure precise sound reproduction and flexible installation options.
Equipped with three 75 mm (3”) C-CAM® mid/bass drivers and a 19 mm (3/4”) gold-dome C-CAM® tweeter, the CSS230 delivers bass performance comparable to a traditional 6.5” speaker while maintaining a discreet, ultra-slim profile. Thanks to its Controlled Performance (CP) design, you can choose sealed-box operation for improved isolation and definition, or open-back configuration for extended bass response.
It comes with a magnetic round grille (paintable), and is also compatible with optional square or premium grille designs. Installation is quick, robust, and secure with the Tri-Grip™ fixing system.
