Audiolab Omnia, an all-in-one player. The essential for your audio equipment

The new Audiolab Omnia is an all-in-one music system to which we will only need to add some speakers to be able to play practically any format that comes to mind. With a sleek, modern design, the Omnia will play music from all major streaming services, but will also satisfy users with physical CD and vinyl collections. To do this, it is equipped with an integrated CD player, numerous inputs for external sources (including a phono stage for a turntable), high-resolution network transmission and high-quality amplification to get the most out of the speakers or headphones that we connect. .

Streaming music is currently the option chosen by a large number of users, which is why even high-end players take these services into account. The Audiolab Omnia features dual-band WiFi and Ethernet connectivity, as well as Bluetooth to stream music from mobile devices and tablets. The device supports PCM 32-bit/768 kHz audio, DSD up to 22.5 MHz (DSD512), and all major high-resolution and lossless audio formats such as FLAC, ALAC, AIFF, and WAV.

The Omnia's network streaming is powered by DTS Play-Fi. This offers us access to a large number of streaming music services, such as Spotify, Tidal, Amazon Music, Deezer, Qobuz, Audacy and TuneIn, among others. The DTS Play-Fi app also gives us access to our music library stored on a DLNA compatible NAS drive or media server.

And if that's not enough, the Audiolab Omnia also offers full decoding of MQA, Tidal's high-resolution streaming technology. By offering “full decryption” the entire “three-stage” decryption process is done internally, rather than just the final MQA deployment being done on the device, as is the case with other devices.

In addition to everything mentioned, the Audiolab Omnia takes advantage of Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity to offer compatibility with aptX, aptX LL, AAC and SBC. And to top it off, the device is Roon Ready.

Audiolab Omnia: man lives not only by streaming.

Although streaming is very important today, there are many users who want to continue enjoying their music collections in physical format. Audiolab has thought of these users and has included a CD player in the Omnia. This drive's transport mechanism incorporates high-precision optics and a low-friction loading tray, with an electronic data buffer and a rugged aluminum base and chassis to withstand any vibration from CDs.

And for vinyl lovers, the Audiolab Omnia incorporates a phono stage that features high-quality, low-noise, JFET-based circuitry with precise RIAA equalization. Other external sources can also be connected via a series of digital (asynchronous USB and S/PDIF) and analog line-level inputs.

To become the control center of our entire HiFi system, the Audiolab Omnia has a wide selection of cable inputs for analog and digital sources. It is equipped with two USB inputs (Type A and Type B) to be able to connect the equipment to a computer or to connect storage devices. It also has four S/PDIF digital inputs (two coaxial and two optical) and four stereo RCA analog inputs: three line level and the aforementioned phono input for connecting a turntable.

On the back of the device we also find a set of gold terminals to connect the speakers, while on the front we have a 6.3 mm headphone jack. This is powered by a specific amplifier that will allow us to move the most demanding headphones.

Finally, under the hood of the Audiolab Omnia we find a class AB amplifier that offers 50W per channel at 8 ohms, which should be enough to drive practically any speaker that we want to connect to the device.

The Audiolab Omnia is available in two finishes: black and silver at a price of €1,749.
