Two proposals at the highest level and with the latest technology for lovers of Home Cinema with capital letters.

The brutal expansion of streaming video in high and very high definition sponsored by platforms that operate worldwide does not mean that there is an important nucleus of Home Cinema lovers who continue to bet on physical support to enjoy their favorite audiovisual content. A bet that, on the other hand, entails a qualitative element highly valued by the most demanding: the use of compression rates that are substantially lower than those used for streaming, with which this implies an improvement in the quality of both image and sound. This reasoning constitutes the raison d'être of Reavon, a young French brand that has just launched two products of exceptional quality / price ratio destined to revolutionize the market for classic audiovisual sources of the highest level: the UBR-X200 and UBR- 4K universal players. X100. Very similar in their basic conception, while being compatible with DLNA and with the most popular multi-channel and 3D audio formats, the two Reavons differ in the degree of sophistication of their audio section, the UBR-X200 having been designed to lovers of audiovisual High End looking for absolute sound and the UBR-X100 for those looking for high-flying performance in sound and image at a reasonable price.

A discreet and elegant aesthetic constitutes the letter of presentation of the UBR-X200, an audiovisual source with a markedly purist orientation from which an extremely rigid construction immediately stands out thanks to the reinforcement of the base of the chassis, 1.6 mm thick, with a 3 mm steel plate to absorb possible vibrations from the reading block, minimizing noise and maximizing the signal-to-noise ratio. This noise minimization strategy, reinforced by a very low center of gravity, continues in the power supply, where a very low magnetic dispersion toroidal transformer is used to help maximize sound cleanliness and precision. For its part, the D / A audio conversion is entrusted to an 8-channel “chip” and 24-bit Burr-Brown PCM1690 technology configured in double balanced mode, which is complemented by components selected for their sonic qualities. The powerful audiophile side of the UBR-X200 is also seen in details such as the existence of an HDMI output dedicated exclusively to audio or the use of a sync clock with an exceptionally low jitter rate. As a next-generation universal disc reader, Reavon's flagship supports a vast repertoire of physical formats ranging from Ultra HD (4K) Blu-ray Disc to SACD to Blu-ray Disc. Full HD, Blu-ray Disc 3D, DVD Video, DVD Audio and CD, to which is added the compatibility with audio and video files such as FLAC, AIFF, DFF, DSF, JPG, the TIFF, the MKV and the M2TS. Obviously, the UBR-X200 is integrated into the HDR ecosystem -Dolby Vision and HDR10 included- and is compatible with True 24p Cinema, to which we must add the scaling of all types of video signals up to 4K resolution. The icing on the Reavon, which includes balanced analog outputs for stereo and unbalanced for decoded signal up to 7.1 channels, is provided by a powerful user interface that, in addition to allowing a spectacular degree of customization of the operation of the device, provides information related to the process of Mastering available in some HDR content, such as the MaxFALL (Maximum Frame Average Light Level) and MaxCLL (Maximum Content Light Level) parameters.

An entry-level model in Reavon's 4K universal disk drive range, the UBR-X100 differs from its older brother basically in the substantially less complex audio section and less generous connectivity (despite keeping the dedicated HDMI output exclusively to audio signals), as it is completely stripped of the analog audio circuitry and therefore includes only digital jacks. This means that the UBR-X100 includes practically the same video functionalities and the same user interface as its bigger brother, at the same time that it is compatible with the same disk formats - the exception being SACD - and file formats. It also exhibits the same construction quality, combining a very rigid structure with a low center of gravity to minimize possible vibrations from the reading block. All this makes the UBR-X100 an unbeatable product in terms of quality / price ratio as well as a perfect tool to facilitate access to the highest definition in image and sound.

Reavon UBR-X100

The starting point of Reavon is an elegant 4K multi-format player, which stands out first of all an extremely rigid construction thanks to the reinforcement of the base of the chassis, of 1.6 mm thick, with a 3 mm steel plate to absorb possible vibrations from the reading block, minimizing noise and maximizing the signal-to-noise ratio. Despite being stripped of analog audio circuitry (and therefore also relevant connectivity), Reavon's purist DNA is seen in details such as the existence of an HDMI output dedicated exclusively to audio signals or the use of a clock. sync with an exceptionally low jitter rate. As a next-generation universal disc reader, the UBR-X100 is compatible with a very wide repertoire of physical formats ranging from Ultra HD (4K) Blu-ray Disc to CD to Full Blu-ray Disc HD, Blu-ray Disc 3D, DVD Video and DVD Audio, to which is added support for audio and video files such as FLAC, AIFF, DFF, DSF, JPG, TIFF, MKV and the M2TS.
