The new WBT-0703 nextgen™ pole terminal preserves valuable non-ferrous metal resources and conducts signals and sounds - not exactly for this reason, though - better than anything before them.

With the new WBT-0703 nextgen™ pole terminal we have succeeded in offering nextgen™ standard technology at an extremely attractive price. The new model is nextgen™ through and through and therefore provides faithful signal transfer and an authentic sound experience.

The WBT-0703 nextgen™ pole terminal signal conductor is constrained to as low a metal mass as possible made up of pure copper. This not only preserves valuable resources, but also eliminates sound quality losses due to the mass storage effect. This effect is unavoidable with larger metallic masses and has a measurable influence on the signal flow. The innovative geometry of the conductors in the pole terminals of nextgen™ also effectively prevents eddy currents that can affect signal purity. Eddy currents occur in the form of nonlinear distortion and cannot be corrected.

But the innovations do not stop here. The shape of the signal conductor not only reenacts the mass storage effect and eddy currents, but has also been optimized in the course of complex tests and calculations, so that the new nextgen™ pole terminal is significantly more resistant than conventional models to micro-vibrations through structure-borne sound.

This means that nextgen™ pole terminals offer an unrivaled level of transfer security and, together with the nextgen™ WBT-0718 impact sound switch, define the limits of what is technically possible.

Another innovation is the moment of force indicator integrated in the pole terminals. This provides an acoustic signal when there is sufficient contact pressure to the sandwich blades. It is a popular misconception that signal transfer is only at its optimum level if the maximum possible contact pressure is exerted on the contact surfaces. If these surfaces are pressed together too forcefully, parts of the surfaces may be damaged beyond repair.

That said, nextgen™ pole terminals give you a free choice when it comes to contact pressure. In addition to the signal conductor, another decisive factor for the quality and long service life of nextgen™ pole terminals is the interaction between the different materials.

Due to current safety regulations, the 4mm banana holes of the WBT pole terminals

used in the audio/video field within the EU territory have to be closed with the WBT-0799 safety stick.
