driver. 4th generation Grado drivers are here. Tuned specifically for the SR60x, this new driver design features a stronger magnetic circuit, a voice coil with reduced effective mass, and a reconfigured diaphragm. Re-engineering these components for our 44mm drivers improves efficiency, reduces distortion, and preserves the harmonic integrity of your music.
New cables and headband.
Along with the speakers, cables and headband have been redesigned for the SR60x. The 4-conductor cable, now housed in a more durable exterior, features super annealed copper wire to improve audio signal purity. The new headband features increased padding for a more comfortable experience.

Every SR60x is handcrafted by our team in Brooklyn. These headphones go from workbench to workbench until they're ready for your ears. We started building at a kitchen table in 1953, and every experience since then has led to the creation of the SR60x.
