As a result of phono cartridge builder AJ van den Hul's continued research to improve their phono cartridge designs, our premium model "The Colibri" has seen the light of day.
The Colibri is the improved successor to our Grasshopper "Beauty" series of phono cartridges, where many building components have been removed in a very successful quest to get back to the simple essence of phono transduction.
The result is an incredibly simple, "clean and open" sound design, which in all its aspects closely resembles the speed, elegance and beauty of the tropical bird called "Colibri"; hence the name of the cartridge.
