Gold PL cartridges are the next step up in the Aidas cartridge portfolio. Their uniqueness lies in the different body materials and the gold-plated copper coils. As the phono cartridge is very sensitive to vibrations, the body material plays an important role. Different damping properties of the body make for a unique sound. The different coil materials have an even greater impact on the final sound reproduction. Gold-plated coils sound natural and detailed.
Aidas Gold PL cartridges come with 3 different bodies: Tru-stone Gold web ,Black African Gabon wood and Brazilian Purpleheart wood. The bodies are slightly different in mass and damping properties which makes them unique products, both types of wood we use have excellent sonic properties. Tru-stone Gold web is a beautiful unique black artificial stone with gold dust inserted in the form of a web. Tru Stone is made up of over 85% real stone.
