DM36 DAC Module:

A completely new and redesigned digital-to-analogue converter (DAC), the DM36 uses the ESS ES9068A chipset with resolution up to PCM 384 and DSD 256. It offers improved performance over its DM35 predecessor, providing more detailed and realistic sound, with more accurate three-dimensionality in a wider soundstage.

The DM36's inputs include 4 Toslink optical, 2 RCA coaxial and 1 USB B input for computer connection. It offers a coaxial RCA output for digital inputs and a selectable 48 or 96 kHz output for analogue inputs. A new feature is the PCM up-sampling option, which improves the quality of digital conversion and digital output.

The DM36 provides full MQA processing capabilities with Prisma and Primare CD sources. With the associated Prisma application update, Prisma models with the DM36 module will allow the final MQA to be deployed at 384 kHz when playing Tidal Master files. It should be noted that for other Prisma models, including those with the DM35 DAC module, the update will enable the first full MQA display with up to 96 kHz resolution, up to 192 kHz Qobuz resolution and gapless playback on both platforms. MQA CD playback is compatible with CD15 Prisma DD15, CD35 Prisma and DD35 when using an RCA coaxial or Toslink optical digital output connection to the DM36.
