Audio components can be sensitive to mechanical vibrations, limiting their hi-fi performance. To keep vibrations away from your valuable equipment, Damp it feet are a perfect solution with maximum effect at the lowest possible price. The Damp it offers similar features to its big brother Absorb it, but without high quality aluminum housing. Designed to be placed under bookshelf speakers or original stands of sensitive equipment such as turntables, record players, tube amps and other components. Damp it prevents the transmission of vibrations when placed on vibrating surfaces such as glass, metal or thin wood panels. When using Damp it for both the bookshelf speakers and the turntable, can be played up to 30% louder without risk of acoustic feedback. Surfaces are often excited by loudspeakers, subwoofers, or simply low-frequency emission caused by road traffic and transformers. Speaker cabinets and almost every foot of audio devices such as turntables, amplifiers, record players are not designed to sufficiently isolate the frequency ranges that really matter.
Damp consists of a high-tech synthetic rubber material, which dampens a wide range of frequencies from infrasound to 500 Hz and therefore effectively prevents the transmission of sound born from the structure. It works like an electronic subsonic filter, but without its advantages and disadvantages. Thanks to its smart and robust design it can be used for all bookshelf loudspeakers and any sensitive equipment with 3 or 4 feet and even high mass units up to 20kg!
For maximum effect, Damp it should be used in direct contact with the speakers, the original feet of the devices, and the utility space with no other materials in between.
