A true benchmark, belt-drive analog source, the Fortissimo is a turntable equipped with EAT's most innovative technical refinements, putting in the hands of discerning hobbyists a completely neutral platform for listening to vinyl records. The first of these refinements is the incorporation of 12 brass inlays in the upper zone of the platter (400 mm diameter and 22 kg in weight!) And 1 in the lower zone, in order to add mass and improve the stability of the plate. rotation. It is a two-part system, the first using a soft alloy and the second a harder alloy that reduces energy flow. The set is completed with Sorbothane absorbent elements strategically arranged to eliminate any possible resonance. On the other hand, the platter is magnetically suspended via small neodymium magnets arranged in such a way as to eliminate any possible magnetic influence on the pickup capsule. The second important engineering element of the Fortissimo is the turning system, mounted on a chrome block and combining an inverted bearing with an oversized shaft in order to be able to handle more energy and damp the entire system more effectively. Regarding the turning system of the new EAT turntable, it should also be noted the use of a ceramic bearing as a consequence of its extreme hardness and inertness. The third key component of the Fortissimo is the engine, separate from the main block.
