E.A.T. Fortissimo: The Massive Reference Turntable

The E.A.T. Fortissimo is the result of uncompromising engineering, designed for those who demand vinyl playback that is utterly faithful, dynamic, and resonance-free. Built on the philosophy of mass and decoupling, this turntable surpasses industry standards by combining a 22 kg oversized platter with state-of-the-art mechanical solutions, making it one of the most advanced designs on the market.

Oversized platter with brass inserts

At the heart of the Fortissimo lies its 400 mm, two-part platter, crafted from hard and soft alloys to precisely control energy flow. To further stabilize rotation and increase inertia, it integrates twelve peripheral brass inserts plus a central insert beneath the vinyl mat, ensuring precision and stability at all times.

Additional Sorbothane damping eliminates unwanted resonances, providing an inert and absolutely stable platform for the record.

Precision bearing with NASA coating

The Fortissimo employs an oversized inverted bearing made of chrome alloy, engineered to absorb the massive energy generated by the platter. The spindle features Movic coating —a graphene-based material originally developed by NASA— which reduces friction by a factor of six compared to earlier models.

A ceramic ball and satin-finished Teflon thrust pad complete the assembly, ensuring ultra-smooth, noise-free operation under extreme load.

Magnetic suspension & adjustable pressure

The high-mass platter benefits from an advanced neodymium magnetic suspension system, relieving pressure on the bearing, minimizing noise, and reducing vibration. Bearing pressure is fully adjustable, allowing audiophiles to fine-tune performance to personal preference.

Dual decoupled motor system

Driving the platter is a dual AC motor system in a heavy decoupled housing, powered by an external supply that generates a perfectly clean current. By splitting torque between two silent motors, noise and vibration are reduced while rotational accuracy is improved.

A special silicone belt ensures rock-solid transmission, eliminating the wobble typical of long belts while benefiting from the platter’s immense inertia.

High-end options: F-Note tonearm & Fortissimo Base

F-Note Tonearm (optional): a high-mass arm with ultra-low-friction bearings, optimized for reference cartridges such as the E.A.T. Jo Nº8. Fully adjustable for precise setup and maximum sonic performance.

Fortissimo Base (optional): a dedicated sub-chassis with six next-generation magnetic feet that isolate the turntable from external resonances, improving stability and lowering noise.
