As explained in the pages relating to the history of the brand, the type and purity of the materials, as well as their associations to obtain a sound neutrality, was Jean-Marie Fusilier's second research topic. In fact, his main activities were then in high-frequency electronics, a field in which engineers pay very particular attention to materials and shielding for optimal signal propagation while ensuring their integrity. The CM4 cable is the result of many years of development, initially in cooperation with specialists in reading vinyl records in Europe. The CM4 cable followed the HQS amps, being consistently chosen by the most demanding studio professionals and music lovers in the US, Europe and Asia. Exceptional products stand the test of time.

The realization of the CM4 cable requires exceptional tools and unique materials. The conductors are made of long, extremely pure crystals. The construction is completely symmetrical, as always with JMF-Audio products. Final cable assembly requires extremely precise placement of conductors and shields for optimal sound results. By design, the CM4 cable ensures signal integrity, is practically immune to microphonic effects (vibrations), and electromagnetic disturbances, two factors responsible for sound distortion.

The CM4 cable is distinguished by a natural, silky and homogeneous sound, a great precision of the timbres and an exceptional coherence of the sound planes (three-dimensional performance). The instruments of an orchestra are located in their correct place (natural performance).

The CM4 cable allows a special pairing between JMF-Audio components (DAC DXC2.2, PRS1.5 preamplifier and HQS amplifiers), preserving the JMF-Audio philosophy. This cable is also associated with multiple audio devices, in different configurations, and with resulting great success. The high-quality metal XLR connectors are gold-plated. On request, we can make versions with RCA connectors that, from revision E, take full advantage of the symmetrical design of the cable.

As of 2015, with the appearance of the “D” version (revision), each CM4 cable is identified with a serial number and its corresponding manufacturing and measurement notes are recorded in the JMF-Audio files.
