CD BOX DS3 - A HIGH-END CD PLAYER.
With an aesthetic and construction that integrates seamlessly with the previous DS2 range, the CD Box DS3 is a high-end compact disc player that stands out for its competitive price/performance ratio. It combines familiar advanced design elements with innovations, such as the Texas Instruments PCM1796 digital-to-analogue converter, to deliver highly accurate and faithful reproduction of the ‘Red Book’ standard of the CD format (Compact Disc Digital Audio or CDDA).
To ensure accurate, lossless (1:1) reproduction of this standard, the CD Box DS3 incorporates a high-performance, slot-loading transport mechanism designed specifically for this purpose, together with an advanced CD-80 Blue Tiger servo control system, which ensures exceptionally precise handling during disc playback.
The mechanical construction of the CD Box DS3 has also been carefully designed, with an all-aluminium chassis and intelligent 4-point suspension: 3 soft suspension points and 1 hard suspension point. The soft suspension isolates the reading mechanism from external vibrations, while the hard suspension dissipates the high-frequency vibrations generated by the rapid movement of the laser head.
In addition, the CD Box DS3 can be optionally complemented with the Pro-Ject Power Box DS2 external linear power supply, which further enhances the depth and realism of the soundstage, the reduction of vibrations and the reduction of vibrations.
