The Atoll DR400SE CD transport has a solid aluminium chassis on the sides, which guarantees excellent mechanical stability. Its design has been carefully developed to optimise vibration absorption.
The top-loading system, designed specifically for the 400 line, is composed of steel and aluminium mechanical parts treated to minimise vibrations. These parts are decoupled from the device frame by four metal spacers, which significantly increases the accuracy of the laser and the efficiency of the error correction circuits. Thanks to this construction, the sound quality is significantly improved, especially the clarity of the high tones.
The DR400SE is a purely transport-dedicated version of the CD400SE, incorporating advanced technical solutions:
