Aqua La Scala MkIII: A Significant Evolution in High-Fidelity Audio
The Aqua La Scala MkIII represents more than just an upgrade; it is a significant evolution of the acclaimed La Scala DAC. Combining innovative technology, precision craftsmanship, and an unwavering commitment to faithful musical reproduction, the La Scala MkIII offers an unparalleled listening experience.
This new version incorporates all recent upgrades, including C-core transformers, the AQlink digital system, and an updated USB card. Additionally, the hybrid valve/MOSFET circuit has been optimized, and a newly developed analog board features the PIBU (Pilot Buffer) module, designed entirely in-house.
The PIBU module eliminates output capacitors in the MkIII, enhancing output current capacity and overall performance. Listening tests confirm that the new analog board integrates cutting-edge electronics with outstanding musicality.
On the digital side, the pure R2R ladder now benefits from new driving circuits implemented within the FPGA, further refining the La Scala’s digital performance. This is complemented by Aqua’s proprietary DAC Optologic technology, a fully FPGA-based system utilizing a pure R2R ladder.
Modular Design Philosophy
Aqua’s commitment to sustainability ensures that existing La Scala DAC owners can upgrade their devices to MkIII specifications, reflecting the brand's dedication to modular design and long-term value for its customers.
