The Audioquest Dragonfly Cobalt is Audioquest's brand new DAC/USB that emerges as a leader in the portable DAC market.

Engineered to excel, the DragonFly Cobalt is a digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) designed to provide a more refined, crisper sound reproduction with a lovely natural musicality from any computer, smartphone or tablet.

DragonFly's unique design allows playback of files of any resolution without limitations. Capable of natively decoding data up to 24-bit/96 kHz, the DragonFly guarantees an exceptional listening experience.

Among its unique technologies, the DragonFly Cobalt employs monoClock® technology and StreamLength asynchronous USB code.

The monoClock® technology facilitates a single clock with minimal jitter, generated by the ESS ES9038 DAC chip, which drives the ESS Sabre 9601 headphone amplifier and all microcontroller functions. This unique clocking ensures superior resolution and clarity compared to DACs employing multiple clocks.

StreamLength® asynchronous USB code optimises the transmission of audio samples to the DAC chip, reducing jitter and resource loads, minimising packet errors and ensuring premium audio playback and a stable connection to any computing device that supports USB server mode according to the USB Organisation's specifications.

StreamLength® is USB Audio Class (UAC) compliant and requires no additional drivers, ensuring virtually plug and play connectivity for users of Apple™, Windows™, iOS™ and Android™ devices.
