Passive and based on Wilson Audio's current flagship subwoofer (the WAMM Master Subsonic), the Subsonic is a sophisticated product in which the opulence of the configuration used, materialised in the use of three loudspeakers with a 305 mm diameter cone and double internal suspension, stands out in the first place, mounted in an enclosure tuned to reproduce even infrasonic frequencies with extremely low distortion and, simultaneously, to integrate coherently and seamlessly with any Wilson Audio loudspeaker in the lower-midrange region of the spectrum. As far as the cabinet is concerned, it is made of the US brand's unique, extremely dense and hard "X" composite material, which is characterised by both high stiffness and high damping, thus reducing critical cabinet resonance. Another important detail of the new Wilson Audio subwoofer is the material used for the internal reinforcements: HDF, which is exclusive to the company and can also be found inside the Thor's Hammer model. Finally, the Subsonic also features the exclusive WilsonGloss seven-step painting process, which is ultimately responsible for the lustre of each and every Wilson Audio model.
