The Monitor Audio PLIC II extends the prestigious Platinum II range with a premium in-ceiling loudspeaker that combines elegant, discreet design with class-leading acoustic performance.
This 3-way, 4-driver system is engineered to deliver audiophile-grade sound in both high-end residential and home cinema installations. Its 8" (203 mm) long-throw RDT II woofer provides deep, controlled bass, while dual 2" C-CAM midrange drivers and a MPD (Micro Pleated Diaphragm) tweeter ensure exceptional clarity, precision, and smooth high frequencies—even at high volume levels.
Installation is quick, secure, and reliable thanks to the patented Tri-Grip mounting system and the frameless magnetic grille, which can be painted to blend seamlessly into any interior. For optimized performance, Monitor Audio offers the PLIC-BOX II back box, precisely engineered with a 24-liter internal volume and tuned damping to reduce resonances and enhance acoustic control.
