The Mono GM MkII SPU is Ortofon's response to the enthusiasts of monophonic recordings on vinyl records with microsurks (marketed in the 50's of the last century) looking for a very high quality transduction system with a level of Output high enough to avoid the use of phono preamplifiers or dedicated transformers. A series of modifications made in the design of the system of generation of signal incorporated in the model SPU Mono CG 25 Di mkII allow the SPU Mono GM mkII to deliver in its output a voltage of 3 mV, which makes it compatible with practically any section Of phono for mobile magnet capsules in integrated amplifiers and preamplifiers.
