The original version of this elegant capsule was launched in 1998 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Ortofon. Created with passion and devotion to bring SPU spirit to the limit, the SPU Royal GM mkII provides an experience in music reproduction that embodies the essence of analog sound, with a series of refinements that carry the legendary SPU transducers up to a few levels Of unparalleled perfection. The addition of one of Ortofon's exclusive Replicant 100 needles and the reduction of the mass of the tip of the Ortofon guarantees an open and detailed sound reproduction that will satisfy the expectations of the most exquisite music lovers. The use of Electrum coils, consisting of a gold and silver alloy, provides a precise transmission and free of colorations of the movements of the moving set, while the slightly modified damping system allows to reduce the vibrations present inside the body of the Capsule and reach a level of superior linearity. As with all SPU models, the perfect integration of the Royal GM mkII SPU into its dedicated head makes it easy and quick to mount on armrests equipped with detachable holder capsules, making it a unique product for Achieve the highest sound expressiveness from classical vinyl reading systems and, by extension, vintage audio equipment equipped with valve electronics and loudspeakers based on exponential speakers or first generation bass reflex systems.
