Designed exclusively for the SPU Mono CG 25 Di mkII and SPU Mono CG 65 Di mkII models, the ST-M25 is an elevator transformer in which Ortofon engineers have concentrated their talent to achieve a sound reproduction as open as possible during reading Of monophonic recordings with both 33 and 45 rpm microsurcus disks and the older Shellac of 78 rpm. The motivation behind the ST-M25 lies in the low amplitude of the electrical signal delivered by the mentioned pickup capsules, which makes its connection to the input for mobile magnet capsules (MM) of the vast majority of amplifiers and Equalizers of phono since in that case the result would be a level of volume and a dynamic inadequate for a listener of high quality.
